Wayne Daniel Guillot

Wayne Daniel Guillot, aged 81, died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving children on November 10, 2022.

Wayne was born November 21, 1940 in New Orleans, LA, the son of Paul and Grace Guillot. Wayne attended grade school and high school in New Orleans and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University as well as serving in the United States Navy. In 1961, Wayne married Doris Bass, a loving marriage that was to last 55 years until Doris’ death at age 74. Wayne and Doris raised their three children in Louisiana, and Wayne eventually settled down in Lafayette to be near his daughter and grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his three children - Greg and his spouse Debbie and their two children Lauren and Michael, Troy and his spouse Stacy and their two children Hannah and Tucker, Joy and her spouse Roger and their three children Christian, Colin and Carleigh. Wayne is also survived by his older brother Jim and his three children and family. Wayne had many dear friends and other relatives, all close to his heart, but too numerous to mention.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19th, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124, with a chapel service to follow. Internment will take place on Monday, November 21st at the Poplarville Cemetery in Poplarville, MS, with a private ceremony for family.
