Ruppert Martin Dubuisson

Ruppert Martin Dubuisson, a loving husband and father, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the age of 65 after a battle with cancer. Ruppert was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Metairie, LA. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. Ruppert worked in the marine industry his whole life and for the past 23 years he was employed by Wartsila North America as a regional sales manager for the Gulf Coast. He loved his work which truly made him a world traveler visiting countries all around the globe. He was a kind, generous man with a heart of gold who loved his family more than anything. He was the son of the late Rosemary Busha Dubuisson and James A. Dubuisson, Jr, one of the founders of Halter Marine. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Victoria Fortier Dubuisson and their two girls, Samantha and Elizabeth Dubuisson. His siblings include Marsha Dubuisson, James A. Dubuisson III (Rocket), and Sheila Stevens (husband, Wayne). His brother-in-laws are Joe Fortier and Gary Fortier (wife, Mary). His nieces and nephews are James A. Dubuisson IV (Rocky), Cortney Boes (husband, Isaac), Chelsea Stevens, Corey Stevens, the late Christopher Stevens, Bruce Hurley (wife, Ilsa), Stephanie Melancon (husband, Jerry), Jennifer Elwell (husband, Mike), Joey Fortier, Hannah McDevitt, Ali McDevitt, and Jessica Meaux (husband, Stephen). He is also survived by many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services to be held on Friday, January 25 at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, La. Visitation from 9 – 11AM. with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
