Rose Mary Mancuso Hooter, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Metairie, Louisiana on September 8, 2022, at the age of 87. She was born on January 27, 1935, in New Orleans, Louisiana to her loving parents, Peter and Mary Margaret Stromeyer Mancuso.

Rose Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Al Hooter, Sr., her precious daughter Rosalie Ann Hooter, her brother Peter M. Mancuso, and her parents.
Rose Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two sons, Joseph Al “Ricky” Hooter, Jr., and Aaron Michael Hooter (Karen), her three grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nanny; Aaron Joseph, Alexander James, and Alyssa Rose, and her brother Michael Mancuso (Juanita).

Rose Mary was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished her special bond with her grandchildren and always put them first. One of her favorite things to do with them, was take them to City Park.

She loved a good bargain and shopping at thrift stores. She enjoyed all types of New Orleans and LSU sport teams, and cheered them on weekly. She made the most delicious chocolate cake and pecan pie. Rose Mary was a wonderful person who was loved, will be missed, and cherished.

A funeral mass was held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Greenwood Funeral followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
