Rhonda Kaye Florane

Rhonda Kaye Florane, passed away on April 10, 2021. She was a native of Coushatta, LA, and a resident of Metairie since 1972. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, James Florane, and Mary Harville Florane of Coushatta. Kaye is survived by her special friend, Suzanne J. Manieri and other relatives and devoted friends.
She received her B.S. and M.H.S. from L.S.U. and worked as a medical lab technologist at local hospitals. Kaye had a passion for fishing the marshes for speckled trout and volunteering with fishing-related activities. She served as Chairman of N.O. City Park’s Big Bass Fishing Rodeo for 14 years, she was an Aquatic Volunteer Instructor with LDWF, and assisted with Wish to Fish, a nonprofit program for children. Special thanks to the staff and doctors at The Yenni Cancer Center at East Jefferson General, and to Dr. John Kokemor, Dr. Joseph Creely, Jr., and Dr. Mark Wegmann for their medical advice and friendship.
A private inurnment will take place at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, Louisiana.
