Patricia Dazet Oustalet

Patricia Sherlock Dazet Oustalet passed away peacefully on Monday February 22nd, she was 91 years old. Beloved wife of the late Henri D. Dazet by her first marriage, and the late William V. Oustalet by her second marriage; she was the mother of Peggy Petty (Don), Sherri Dazet, Richard Dazet (the late Carrie) and Stephanie Sergent, Rhonda Baiamonte (the late Steven, Sr.), the late Daniel Dazet (Maria); grandmother of Dawn Petty Friloux (Jeremy), Lauren Petty Williams (Jared), Jacques Landrieu (Victoria), Tyler Landrieu, Henri D. Dazet II (Tracee), Monique Dazet (Loren), Marie Baiamonte Romero Foster (Scooter), Steven Baiamonte, Jr. (Becky), Gabby Dazet Forestier (Drew), Porter Dazet, Madi Dazet; great- grandmother of Lily Friloux, Luca and Sienna Williams, Seth and Lilee Dazet, Anna, Emilie, Mary Claire, Joseph and Camille Romero, and Steven, III, and Adalynn Baiamonte.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Sherlock, and her siblings, Mary Ellen Faucheux, Richard, Gerry, and Joe Sherlock. Patsy was born and raised in Uptown New Orleans and spent most of her adult life in St. Bernard Parish until hurricane Katrina when she returned to her Uptown roots. She was a 25-year employee of the St. Bernard Parish Policy Jury, rising to the first female department head, as Personnel Director until her retirement.
She was mostly joyful through some of the most difficult times in her life and was immensely loved and adored by all. “Uh, look” was her favorite way to start a sentence!

Our family and Patsy, “Ms. Pat”, would like to thank all of the residents and amazing staff at Ville Ste. Marie Assisted Living Center. She was living her best life in the comfort of her own apartment with restaurant style meals and service, an active social life, and every need taken care of.
All dawgs go to heaven.

A private service was held at Greenwood Cemetery on March 4th and she was laid to rest in her family tomb.
