Melissa Gaspard Menard

Melissa Gaspard Menard passed away at home on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the age of 54. Beloved mother of Anna Loflin (Tyler), Gene Tan (Lindsay), Rayford Menard, Jr., and Babie Menard. Grandmother of Aneah Menard, Elijah Amy, Ethan Tan and Christan Loflin. Daughter of the late Joann Gaspard Himel. Sister of Joey Gaspard (Josefina) and the late Tammy Gaspard. She is also survived by two longtime friends, Michael Jackson and Louis Williams; her grand-pup, Judah Menard; and three nieces.
Melissa was a beloved friend and bartender of Ms. Mae’s for over 15 years. She was an avid gardener and appreciated a good shopping trip. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was very important to her. She crocheted red hats and blankets and donated them to hospitals for babies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Thursday, June 16, 2022, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
