Marion Tedesco DiGrado

Marion Tedesco DiGrado passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023, at St. Margaret’s at Mercy surrounded by her family, at the age of 98. Born March 18, 1924, she will be forever remembered by her loving children, Chris DiGrado (Pamela), Joseph DiGrado (Vicki), Jena DiGrado LaCour, her grandchildren, Raphael DiGrado (Kimberly), Joel DiGrado (Kelly), Paul DiGrado (Alexandra), Alyce LaCour Ittmann (Justin), Elena DiGrado Sanderlin (Tyler), Emily LaCour Vernon (Justin), Louis LaCour, III, Anthony DiGrado, Nicholas DiGrado, and her 9 great grandchildren, Stella, Aida, Arie, James, Willa, Annalise, Raife, Theresa, and Mark.  She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Patrick Tedesco and Anna Clesi Tedesco, her loving husband of 40 years, Salvatore Rosario DiGrado, and her brother Joseph Patrick Tedesco, Jr.

Marion was a native of New Orleans and a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s Dominican High School and Soule Business College. She was very involved in the Elenian Club, in which she served as both President and Captain. She also served as President of the Holy Cross Parent’s Club, and was a dedicated member of the Women’s Dental Auxiliary. She loved her city, and especially enjoyed Mardi Gras and cheering on the New Orleans Saints. 

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at St. Pius X Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation is from 9:00 am – 11:00 am followed by Mass.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Dominican High School and St. Pius X will be appreciated.
