Marian Celeste Aleman Orlando, age 86 years, a native of New Orleans, passed away on June 11, 2022, in Marrero, Louisiana. Marian was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Charles Thomas Orlando, and her parents, Edward Joseph Aleman, and Lelia Tullier Aleman, as well as her brother, Ronald Edward Aleman. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Orlando Martinez and Kay Orlando Ourso (Corbett Louis Ourso, Jr.), and her sons, Kevin Peter Orlando and Kirt Edward Orlando (Jennie Monteleone Orlando); as well as grandchildren, Terri Martinez, Elise Ourso Leon (Paul), Nick Olivas (Macy), Ryan Dautenhahn, Nathan Martinez, Corbett Ourso, III (Mary), Kaycee Orlando, Cameron Orlando and Clayton Ourso; and great- grandchildren, Aiden Wright and Corbett Ourso, IV. Marian is also survived by her sisters, Susie Hardin (Roy) and Darilyn Vreeland (Ken), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Marian graduated in 1952 from Sacred Heart High School in New Orleans and afterwards was employed by Twentieth Century Fox Film Distribution Corporation until 1966.
In addition to volunteering for several community organizations, Marian and Charles opened and operated two businesses, Charles’ Shoe Store and Kenner Cleaners.
From 1973 to 1993, she worked as a clerk and secretary for Entergy where she retired and immediately went to work for One River Place as a secretary, where she retired again in 2014.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and followed by the Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm.
