Lorraine Cramond Fury

Lorraine Cramond Fury passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Saturday, May 8th, 2021, at the age of 89. Born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Metairie, LA. She enjoyed spending time with her family going to parades and playing Rummy which she taught to every family member and cheated often.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel J. Fury, Sr.; her parents, George M. Cramond, Sr. and Olive V. Cramond; two children, Betty Ann Meany and Francis Fury; two sons-in-law, Michael Meany, Sr. and Allan Stevens, Sr.; two grandchildren, Allan Stevens, Jr. and Sherrie Stevens; one brother, George M. Cramond, Jr.; four sister, Shirley Maillian, Patricia Scioneaux (Sino), Claire Cramond and Vera Cramond; and two brothers-in-law, Louis S. Scioneaux (Sino) and Emmett L. Maillian. Mrs. Fury is survived by her devoted children, Darlene Stevens, David Fury (Suzie), Lisa Smith (Carl) and Karen DePoorter (Raymond); loving grandchildren, Melissa (Steven), Christy (Brandon), Rebecca (Chad), Angela, Raymond, Michael Jr., Brice, Jonathan and Dylan; 10 great grandchildren, Alicia, Amanda, Amelia, Austin, Joshua, Jadyn, Noa, Samantha, Steven, Jr. and Thea; 5 great great grandchildren, Marisse, Lydia, Trip, Adrienne and Amia; and one sister-in-law, Lois Cramond.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Friday, May 14, 2021, starting at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Due to COVID 19 regulations, please follow the current restrictions and everyone attending is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.
