Lloyd George Carter Sr.

Lloyd George Carter, Sr., co-owner of Carter’s Carpet Workroom, passed on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. He was 77 years old. Lloyd was born in New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, LA for most of his life. A graduate of Warren Easton High School, his joys in life were his departed wife Suzanne Harris Carter, his family, grandchildren, fishing, cooking and music. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn C. Flick, son Lloyd Carter, Jr., and daughters Catherine Carter Pogue and Beth Carter-Drury; Grandchildren, Emma Carter, Matthew Carter, Sky Pogue and Blake Klotz. A Memorial service will be held at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, November 13th at 12:30. Visitation will begin at 11:00 and continue until service time.
