Howard David Abrams

Howard David Abrams was born on August 19, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to William Abrams and Ruth Hart Abrams. When Howard was 2 years old the family moved to New Orleans, where he lived the remainder of his life. He passed away on Tuesday, April 6th under hospice care. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ruth, by his wife Deborah Ann Abrams, and by his daughter Sara Olivia Abrams. He is survived by his daughter Noelle Ruth Abrams of Jefferson, LA, by his sister Catherine (“Cathy”) Smith and her husband Terry of Katy, Texas, and by his mother-in-law Shirley Saylors-Clarkson and sister-in-law Shirlene Lasley, both of Belton, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He loved living in the uptown area of New Orleans where he had many true and loyal friends. His family is very thankful for the loving care they provided, especially during the last few months of his life. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to an informal celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 9th from 2:00-4:00pm at the Greenwood Funeral Home on 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans.
