Harry Charles Ray Jr

Harry Charles Ray Jr. went to his Heavenly Father, peacefully in the presence of his family, on Monday, March 19, 2018, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Lloyd Daigre by his first marriage and the late Denise Ray by his second marriage. Loving father of Catherine, Barbara, Anne, Harry III, Deborah, Elizabeth, Margie, Ward and Marschelle. Brother of the late Margie Gagliano. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret Peterson Ray and Harry Charles Ray Sr. Harry served with the U.S navy reserve. He loved the city of New Orleans and through his career helped build many buildings. He was a graduate of Mater Dolorosa School, Jesuit High School and Tulane University. He was a member of the Carrollton Boosters. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Special Olympics, in honor of Ward Ray.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Mater Dolorosa Church, 1230 S. Carrollton Ave, New Orleans, LA 70118, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
