Floyd A. Volz, Sr., died on May 15, 2017 (90 years old), at Fidelis Scofield Home in Metairie.  He was the son of Louis & Evangeline Volz. Beloved husband of Marie Horace Volz, for 69 years.  He was preceded in death by his son, Floyd A.Volz, Jr, his brothers, Melvin & Patrick Volz.  A Step-sister, Diane Volz Fuentess. a host of Cousins.  Retired New Orleans Police Officer of 47 years.  Veteran of the North Korean War.Received World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Wednesday, May, 17 at 1 pm, Visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery .  The Family thanks all the staff at Fidelis for the compassionate care they gave him.     In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
