Edgar Charles Melton

Edgar Charles Melton passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the age of 61. Beloved father of Christopher J. Melton (Janet) and Jennifer M. Ducote (Ronald). Son of the late Landon Charles Melton and Stella Elizabeth Holzhauser Melton. Brother of William Melton (Joie), Landon Melton (Melissa), Allen Melton (Kathy), Elizabeth Dow and the late John Melton. Edgar is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and loved ones who knew him as “EE”.
He was a longtime member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 37. Edgar will be sorely missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Friday, April 13, 2018, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
