Dolores Lillian (Esler) Baudin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family from a courageous battle with leukemia at the age of 92 on January 16, 2021. Dolores was born on April 6, 1928, in New Orleans, LA. She is the daughter of the late Bertrand Stephen Esler and Lillian Grace Riedling Esler. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard M. Baudin, five brothers; Bertrand Esler, Jr., Gerald Esler, Joseph Esler, Merwyn Esler, and Emile Esler, three sisters; Grace McAdam, Mary Esler, and Lurline Miller, two son-in-laws Floyd Forsythe and Albert Cook. She is survived by her twin daughters, Judy Elton (Frank) and Trudy Cook and her two sons, Bernard Baudin, Jr. (Kathy) and Don Baudin (Nancy), eleven grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Dolores was retired from Ochsner Hospital. She was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and a member of the Altar Society at St. Agnes Catholic Church where she was a parishioner for 65 years. She was also recipient of the St. Louis Medallion. Dolores was a long time member of the TOPS organization and held many officer positions. She lived at Ville Ste. Marie for seven years where she enjoyed her many friends and numerous activities.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson LA, 70121 on Saturday, January 23, 2021, starting at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery #3. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to EWTN at www.ewtn.com/catholicism
