Dawn Lee Scramuzza

Dawn Lee Scramuzza, age 57, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 16, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and friends.  Born in New Orleans, Dawn grew up in Chalmette and lived out the remaining years of her life as a resident of Slidell. She had a love for life and faught hard for many years before succumbing to illness. She is preceded in death by her daughters Christi Collins & Ashley Nelson,  parents Martin Scramuzza Jr. & Joyce Knight, and her sister Tammy Scramuzza Beal. She is survived by her sister Robin Scramuzza Maine. Dawn will also be cherished and remembered by her seven nieces & nephews, thirteen great nieces & nephews, and one great-great nephew. She will be remembered as a kind soul who was always willing to help others anyway she could. She loved her family & friends, and always made sure they knew it. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial  service on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Greenwood Funeral Home in New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 12pm for family, and services will begin at 1pm. In lieu of flowers or condolences, her family asks for a donation in her honor be made to the American Heart Association.  2Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith"
