Charles Murphy Leroux

On October 27th, 2018, Charles Murphy Leroux passed from this life at home in the presence of his loved ones. He was born by a midwife in his home in New Orleans and he died in his daughter’s home in Richmond, Texas.
He was retired from Lumber Importer’s Service Co. in Chalmette, LA. He was the oldest of five siblings, Ret. Lt. Col. Francis Leroux (deceased), Raymond Leroux (deceased), Mary Lee Leroux George (deceased), and Kathleen Leroux Willoz.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife, Audrey Pittman Leroux of 71 years of marriage. His daughters Mary Jo Leroux Barr, Denise Leroux Clarke (Bob Clarke, husband), Charlette Leroux Fiorella and his sons Charles Michael Leroux (Cindy M. Leroux, wife) and William Thomas Leroux. He was the grandfather of David M. Barr, Douglas E. Barr, Scott R. Barr, Jonathan Berger (deceased), Jodi Berger Cardoso and Carly Berger Buhler. He was the great grandfather of Alexis Barr, Patrick Barr, Graeme Barr, Audrey Cardoso, Phoenix Cardoso, Finley Buhler, Eli Buhler, and Reese Buhler.
Services under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd, Metairie, LA 70005. A visitation will precede the Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Catherine’s of Siena, followed by Holy Mass at 1:00PM, and the burial service will be held at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave., New Orleans, LA. 70124.
