Beverly Vaccaro Cheramie

Beverly Vaccaro Cheramie was called home to her heavenly Father on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late John K. Cheramie. Mother of Darlene C. O'Connor (Jack) and the late John F. Cheramie. Grandmother of Kaitlyn O'Connor Hay (Carter). Daughter of the late Felix J. Vaccaro and Eloise Woods Vaccaro. Sister of Carole Vaccaro Caronna. She is also survived by her nieces and their spouses.

Beverly retired from the Louisiana Superdome, after 20 years of faithful service. She started her career in tours department and then became the secretary of the parking office. She was a member of the Nifty Fifty’s of Jefferson. She was an avid Poker and UNO player. Beverly was a long-time parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Jefferson. She was a devoted follower of the Blessed Mother and St. Jude. Beverly enjoyed gardening and loved going to parades. The biggest joy of her life was her loving family and pets.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Friday, March 31, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
