Annie Ebarb Krummel

Annie Ebarb Krummel, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband Gerard Krummel; her parents Lupie and Lena Ebarb; children Joseph Elmo Sepulvado and Pamela Ann Krummel; siblings Gathy Ebarb Howell, Artie Mae Sepulvado and Joseph Clyde Ebarb. She is survived by her children Jimmy Krummel (Maria Kostulsky), Jerry Krummel and Victoria Krummel (Michael Gallagher). Survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
  
Born in Zwolle, LA but spending all of her adult life in New Orleans. Annie, the youngest of four children were raised by their aunt & uncle Garcia after being orphaned at the age of five. Growing up was difficult, including walking down country roads bare footed daily to school. Wearing shoes was reserved for Sunday Church. Annie never spent time complaining of what she did not have but rather grateful for what she did have. Annie and her siblings were very close and always looked out for one another. Having a strong faith that God was watching over them. Throughout her life, the most important thing was her faith, family and friends. As a young woman, Annie came to New Orleans and after a short time met the love of her life. Married after a short courtship. They spent the next sixty years raising their children until his passing. Annie enjoyed life to the fullest. Always staying in touch with her family and friends, attending family get-togethers, writing letters and talking on the phone. Her favorite way to spend time was to share a bottle of wine and good conversation. She also enjoyed horse racing at The Fairgrounds and an evening at the casino. A day shopping at local thrift stores was her way to find a bargain treasure and help a local charity or non-profit support their cause.
 
Her family would like to thank all of her doctors for their care. Especially Dr. J. Lowentritt, M.D., Michelle Midkiff, APRN-C, DNP, Dr. E. Zakris, M.D. We would also like to thank everyone who prayed for her during her illness. Anvoi Hospice for their compassion and professional during her most difficult time. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Visitation from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
