Ruth Demuth

Our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma, Ruth Demuth, at the age of 100, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 7, 2021. She was born on April 1, 1921, in Smyrna, South Carolina to Finley and Bessie Mitchell.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Jr., her granddaughter Rebecca, one sister, and seven brothers. 

She will be forever cherished and remembered by her children Wilton Sr. (Rose), Louis III (Nancy), and Jeanne. She was the loving grandmother of Wilton Jr. (Kathy), Cheri (Rene), Dawn, Timothy, Stephanie (Jeremy), Reed (Branden), Ryan (Shelly), 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. 

Ruth will be missed by her sister Betty and her brother Dean (Carolyn) as well many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral
Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Monday, June 14, 2021, starting at
11:30 AM to celebrate her life. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
