Ann Imelda Martin Oehler

Ann Imelda Martin Oehler, beloved wife of Eugene Leonard Oehler passed away on January 9, 2021 at the age of 98 at St. Margaret’s Skilled Care home at Mercy Center.  Ann was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 5, 1922 to Edward A. Martin and Veronica Fitzgerald Martin. 

Ann grew up in Saint Alphonsus Parish. She graduated from Redemptorist Girls High School, Sisters of Mercy, at third and Prytannia Streets.   She was a loyal 80 year graduate of the Mercy Alumnae and loved the Sisters of Mercy.  Ann was predeceased by her parents, Edward Martin and Veronica Fitzgerald Martin, Her husband Eugne Leonard Oehler, sisters:  Gerardine M. Hillebrand, Edmonia M. Pescay, Illma R. Martin and brother: Edward W. Martin.   Ann is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, nieces /nephews-in-law, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces and nephews.  

Ann will be dearly missed however, we know Ann is enjoying her Eternal Reward with God.    She willed her body to the Tulane Willbody Program.  A service will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Ann Oehler may be sent to Sisters Mercy Retirement Fund in New Orleans at 816 West William David Parkway, Metairie, LA 70005.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery #1.
