Tyrus Luke Guidroz, Sr. passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Sharon Riccobono Guidroz. Father of Tyrus Luke Guidroz, Jr. (Christy), Vincent Joseph Guidroz, Dana Guidroz Lewis (Jack), Kimberly Guidroz Gerbitz (Randy) and Carl Joseph Guidroz. Grandfather of Lauren Elizabeth Guidroz, Ashly Buchicchio and Amanda Lewis. Son of the late Louise Zeringue Guidroz and Carl Audley Guidroz. Brother of Ronald P. Guidroz, Myrna G. Roberts and the late Carl A. Guidroz, Penelope G. Moore and Janice G. Blaise. Godfather of Paul Roberts, Jr., Kevin Blaise and Richard Guidroz. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Guidroz was a native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of Metairie. He retired from Boomtown Casino and New Orleans Macaroni.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Friday, December 8, 2017, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
