Michael Brady Wallace passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife, Camille Kingsmill Wallace, of more than 60 years and his cherished daughters Michele Wallace, NYC, Jacquelyn Walker (Darryl DePaula) and Minnette Patton (Clyde).
Known as “Pal” he was the best Grandfather to his treasured grandchildren LT. William J. Walker, III, USN, (Jessica), LT. Brandon M. Walker, USN, Ellanor G. Patton, and Camille M. Patton and “Great Pal” to his first Great- grandson William J. Walker, IV.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Thomas J. Wallace, II, Grace Ann Bird Wallace, brothers Thomas Wallace III, Al Cornelius Wallace, and sisters Ellen T. and Grace Wallace, Sr. Estelle Marie Wallace, R.S.M. and Mary Ferguson.
Michael was a graduate of Redemptorist High School and Loyola University of New Orleans. He served 8 years and 4 months in the United States Marine Corps. After working for Borden’s Dairy numerous years, he was employed by The Department of Interior-Bureau of Ocean Energy Management as an Environmental Protection Specialist for 28 years.
As a parishioner of St. Christopher Parish, he was a member of The St. Vincent dePaul Society and a recipient of The Order of St. Louis Medal.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124.
