BLAUVELT
Lillian (Lillie) Manale Blauvelt passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the age of 90. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd V. Blauvelt, Sr.; her parents, Bernard and Sarah Manale; four brothers, Joseph Manale, Salvador Manale, Bernard Manale and Anthony Manale; and two sisters, Rose Manale Malbrough and Conchetta Manale Hagstette.
She is survived by her four children, Lloyd V. Blauvelt, Jr. (Pam), Janet Blauvelt Rickert (Steve), Gregory Allen Blauvelt (Yvette) and Barbara Blauvelt Gares (Dennis); eight grandchildren, Stephen Rickert, Jr. (Mary), Scott Rickert (Lisa), Nicole Blauvelt Landry (Jonathan), Ryan Blauvelt (Fiancé, Sonia), Ashlee Blauvelt Moll (Joshua), Lauren Blauvelt Blumstein (Cage), Sean Gares (Jennifer) and Megan Gares; and six great grandchildren, Taylor Rickert, Katelyn Rickert, Ava Moll, Christian Rickert, Holton Moll and Benjamin Blumstein. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Lillian lived each day to be with her children and she adored and treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and was a great cook. She loved the New Orleans Saints, GO SAINTS!!!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Road, Metairie, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 Noon. Inurnment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Margaret’s Hospice, 3525 Bienville St., New Orleans, LA 70119.
