·Jacqulyn Bruce Lombardo passed away at her home in Camden SC on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the age of 72 years. Daughter of the late Eusaline Guidry Bruce and Jackson A. Bruce, she is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Salvatore Joseph Lombardo, daughter and son-in-law, Wendy L. and Melvin A. Mays. She also leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law Carol Lombardo, brother-in-law John Lombardo Sr., nephews John Lombardo, Jr. (Connie), Steve Lombardo Sr. (Della), numerous great nephews, nieces and cousins. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, and after a 29 year career with South Central Bell (BellSouth), she retired to Poplarville MS and subsequently Camden, SC.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, La 70124 on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM followed by a Mass in the Chapel. Burial to follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or your preferred charity would be greatly appreciated. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Amedisys Hospice Team (Cindy, Tawanda, Louise, Chuck, Jackie, Lynn, Elizabeth, Tracy, Jennifer and Avis) and dear family friend, Ginny Osment for the care, comfort and support given during her final months.
