Jackie Lawrence Dean, age 81, entered eternal rest on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 3:00 a.m. He was born on October 4, 1935 in El Dorado, Illinois and a longtime resident of Orleans Parish. Mr. Dean was the beloved husband of Maria Cristina Dean for 45 years; son of the late Guy Dean and Blanche Dean; loving son in law of Rosario Fernandez Domingue and the late Francisco Aguilar Coria; father of Francisco David Dean (Amanda), Christian Dean Sr. (Kelly), Danny Dean (Kaylee); brother of Danny Dean (Carolyn), Gary Dean (Betty) and late Bobby Dean, and Harold Dean (Helen); brother in law of Francisco Aguilar Fernandez (Rosario), and Jose Antonio Aguilar Fernandez (Carmen); devoted grandfather of Reagan, Olivia, Jake, David, Sydney, Christian Jr., Dakota, Rocio and Emma Dean. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Dean retired as a Director of Production for Owens Illinois where he worked from 1953 -1984 and also, retired from Cox Cable after working from 1985 – 2000.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, starting at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass in the Chapel at 12:30 PM.
