Francisco R. “Cuco” Romagosa was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba on September 16, 1939 and passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the age of 77. He is survived by his beloved children, Ed, Frank and Claudia, and their mother Vilma, his former wife but also his friend and roommate; six grandchildren, Jack Andrew, Nasya, Arabella, Ashley, Jessica and Lucas; three great grandchildren, Harvey, Gordon and Max; one sister, Maria Teresa Romagosa; and his niece and nephews, Francisco, TereMary and Armando and other family members.

Mr. Romagosa helped pioneer sugar manufacturing domestically and internationally as a specialized Sugar Chemist Technologist. He enjoyed spending time daily with his local buddies at Kenner Fair Grounds and watching the midnight stars while enjoying a cup of coffee. Cuco will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him especially his family and his close Cuban friends.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 PM.
