Alice Marie Lorio Echelard passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Beloved daughter of the late Numa Joseph Lorio and Marie Alice Coudrain Lorio. Beloved wife of the late Lester F. Echelard. Devoted mother of Celeste Echelard Keller and Adrian F. Echelard. Grandmother of Daniel P. Keller. Sister of the late Edna Lorio LeBlanc, Rene J. Lorio, Numa H. Lorio and Jerome P. Lorio. Granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Alexis Coudrain and Mr. and Mrs. Aramise Lorio. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Alice enjoyed a long and healthy life. Her children and grandson were her pride and joy. She also took great pleasure in her outings to the casino with her dear friend, Verna Chatham and attending the races at the Fair Grounds.  Alice was loved and adored by all who knew her. She made many friends throughout her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Thursday, March 2, 2017, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass in the Chapel at 1:15 PM.
